Janita (Thompson) Stenhouse grew up in New Zealand. It was in 1967 while an art student in Liverpool (England) that she first encountered yoga, and ever since has studied this fascinating subject with several leading teachers.

She lived for three years in Varanasi (India), and has since returned to India several times, to study yoga and yantr at the ashram of Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri in Pondicherry.

At present she lives in the Auvergne region of France and teaches yoga classes, seminars and teacher training.
